Daybreak Shawl: Complete!

the little things

I haven't felt so great over the past few days-- headache galore. I stayed at work a bit late to finish a tedious task, then made my way over to the T to ride home. While waiting for the train, I pulled out my knitting (shown below) and a wonderfully friendly girl came by and asked what I was knitting. I pulled it out to show her, and said "it's a shawl" and she asked which one, to which I replied "Daybreak". She knew he pattern, complimented my work, and pulled out some socks in progress! It really made my day.

relief.

yesterday i had a great day to myself... i knit a hat and went to yoga! i forgot how wonderful yoga is... i used to go often to a bikram studio, then i fell out of it... when i arrived yesterday i purchased myself a 10 class pass and i am already thinking about going back!  i was intending to go to an earlier class, though, and did not make it until 6 because i was working on this:

day off

i decided i needed a day off... so here i am, at home in my pajamas, enjoying some coffee... i'm even going to go to yoga during the day! i can't wait!   semi-strange thing, though-- i woke up to see the time on all of the clocks flashing.  apparently the power went out.  it's strange though because it's as though someone was trying to tell me that i didn't need to get up right away... mind you, this was 8:45 though (when i looked at the time on my phone) so while i felt relieved that i had peacefully slept in, i realized that it was still pretty early... and i'm kind of happy about that; i get the whole day!
