the freedom trail is lying

i took this photo today.  above this is a sign that reads "the freedom trail is open".... i have to say, NO IT'S NOT! this is a yellow stripe of paint that leads people around the boundaries of a construction site... and that's fine, but please don't pretend it's still the freedom trail!

game time

i really like game shows. i'm sort of sad that we do not receive the game show network at our house and as a result, if i am ever in a house that DOES get GSN, i like to watch it. last weekend i watched a few brief moments of Pyramid with Donny Osmond, the new edition of The New $25,000 Pyramid with Dick Clark. it was ok... not as good as the Dick Clark version in my opinion... and then a few minutes ago, frustrated with our client at work, a slew of "clues" rushed into my brain. here, play along.

i hope you got that one too... it's "things you might tell your architect once the design (and possibly construction) process is well underway"

package tracking

when i order a package and they send me the tracking number, i get totally obsessed with it. OBSESSED. i swear i check the link multiple times a day... then i get anxious. it's totally unhealthy. does anyone else do this?

blechhhhhhh

i have had a version of the flu since thursday night.  UNFAIR.

by the letters

something sort of funny just happened to me. i went to check my mailbox at work and discovered that the mail slots have been reorganized from alphabetical by LAST name to alphabetical by FIRST name. this change struck me... but... i am in the same slot as before. just my neighbors changed... just like my desk.

it's a different place

on friday, a bunch of people moved desks in my office... somehow on my half of the floor i am 1 of 2 people who did not move desks-- the result of this is the same outcome as if i had been the only person who moved (the other non-mover is not at his desk a lot)-- it's like i'm working in a different office! it's ok i guess... i just got a little sad though because people are discussing the superbowl squares pool that they all participated in... i was not invited. it's like i'm the new kid, but really, they are all the new kids!! i've been here!
